AI For Social Good
AI for social good, a relatively recent area of research, is concerned with applying AI to address significant current issues in the fields of social, environmental, and public health. This domain can provide new ways of approaching problem that can help in improving people's lives. Currently we are focusing on tackling important social and environmental issues like pollution, road conditions, human emotions, smart city related challenges that exist today using AI and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). It includes following area of research: Pollution, Smart City, Emotion Recognition, Road Condition Monitoring, etc. Our major publications in this field are listed below.

Geoinformatics
Geoinformatics is the art, science, or technology of acquiring, storing, analyzing, producing, presenting, and disseminating geoinformation. Geoinformatics is useful in many fields, such as urban planning and land use management, public health, environmental modelling and analysis, military, transportation network planning and management, agriculture, meteorology and climate change, travel location planning, and so on. In this area of research, we are currently working on risk modelling and analysis of natural hazards (e.g., landslides) for disaster management. Some of our most interesting previous research works are listed below.

Internet of Things
The Internet of Things (IoT) is an emerging topic with significant technical, social, and economic implications. The internet of things enables people to live and work smarter, as well as gain complete control over their lives. Our research in this field primarily focuses on improving the standard of living in the home and office with newly improved working facilities where the entire system will be automatic, efficient, and under the control of the user via his/her smartphone or computer but the cost will remain within a common man's budget. We are currently working on IoT-based crowd/participatory sensing to investigate various city dynamics such as air and noise pollution dynamics, city illumination dynamics, health dynamics, and so on. Our major publications in this field are listed below.

Social Network and Media Analysis
Social Network and Media Analysis is the process of analysing social systems using networks and graph theory. In online social network, we have attempted to investigate a variety of problems such as influence minimization, information spreading, community detection, and influential node detection. In this area of research, we are currently working on distributed graph frameworks and algorithms, distributed image classification, and network data time series analysis. Our major publications in this field are listed below.
